Compare Your Medicare Options

If you’re turning 65, there are two main paths for Medicare coverage:

1. Original Medicare (Parts A & B)

This includes:

  • Part A – Hospital coverage
  • Part B – Doctor visits and outpatient services

You can also add:

  • Part D – Prescription drug coverage
  • Medigap – A Medicare Supplement plan to help with out-of-pocket costs

With Original Medicare, you can see any doctor in the U.S. that accepts Medicare.

2. Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Offered by private insurance companies, these plans bundle:

  • Part A and Part B
  • Most include Part D (prescription drugs)
  • Extra benefits like dental, vision, hearing, gym memberships, and more

You may pay less monthly, but you're usually required to use a network of providers.

How to Decide

Original Medicare may be better for those who want provider freedom. Medicare Advantage might appeal to those who prefer all-in-one simplicity and lower costs.
